Synopsis

Amidst a drought of independently run spaces and DIY venues in the seacoast area, Colin Grady and Nate Pastor put their heads together. Pastor’s, the small ME-based DIY venue would come back, stronger than ever. Despite the hurdles and roadblocks that were thrown their way, the space thrived: people were starving for spaces like this. With each show the turnout grew, breathing life into the garage, and stoking a fire in the minds of the Pastor’s crew. How big could the shows get? Many more hours were spent lovingly assembling this piece weaving in and out of maximalist edits of performances from many of the artists who touched down on that spot of concrete in Berwick, ME, all captured through lo-fi voice memos and the lenses of obsolete cameras, and transferred to Hi8 and MiniDV tapes. Why the old cameras? Because this is something that could happen anywhere and at anytime. This is the story of a garage full of life - and how you could be a part of it.
